The Hadiza Ibrahim Aliyu Schools Festival (HIASFEST) is pleased to announce its 2027 edition, the ninth in the festival’s history.
Organised by the Hilltop Creative Arts Foundation (HCAF), HIASFEST has continued to provide a platform for secondary school students to express themselves, develop their creative abilities, and engage with other young people through literature and the arts. The festival recognises the importance of giving young people room to explore their ideas, share their work, and discover what they can achieve when their creativity is encouraged.
The 2027 edition continues this commitment. We invite schools, teachers, and students to begin preparing for another year of creative participation and friendly competition. Whether a student is already actively involved in the arts or is only beginning to explore a particular interest, HIASFEST offers an opportunity to learn, participate, and be part of a wider community of young creatives.
For schools and prospective participants, the first step is to read the HIASFEST 2027 Modalities for Participation.The document sets out the guidelines and requirements for this edition and should be consulted before making preparations to participate. Teachers and school coordinators are encouraged to share it with interested students and help them understand the requirements.
