The Northern Writers Forum (NWF) is pleased to announce the upcoming Northern Narratives Initiative Chapbook Presentation, scheduled to take place on Sunday, 19 October 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the Open Arts Space, Kaduna.
The event marks the culmination of the Northern Narratives Initiative (NNI), a literary mentorship and publishing programme designed to support and spotlight emerging writers from Northern Nigeria. Over the course of the initiative, ten selected mentees have worked closely with experienced mentors in poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction to develop and refine their manuscripts.
The chapbook presentation will feature the official unveiling of the mentees’ digital mini chapbooks, along with readings and conversations that highlight their creative journeys. The event will bring together writers, literary enthusiasts, and cultural practitioners to celebrate the next generation of Northern Nigerian voices.
The Northern Narratives Initiative is supported by Open Arts Development Foundation, whose partnership has been instrumental to the success of the programme.
The event is open to the public, and media representatives are invited to attend and cover the presentation.
