The Timeout4Africa Basketball and Education Foundation, in collaboration with Minna Kiddies Book Hub, introduces a Kiddies Reading Scheme to get Minna kids reading.

In a conversation, the Managing Director of Minna Kiddies Book Hub, Master Mahmud Dzukogi, stated that Mr. Jonathan Kolo, the founder of the Timeout4Africa Basketball and Education Foundation is introducing the scheme to assist the children in the society. Mr. Jonathan, who lives in the US had stated that, “It is one of our token contributions to the education of kids in Minna, the Niger State capital, Nigeria. The cultivation of reading habit is the first empowerment that can be given to any child in the society. Another motivation is to support our son, Mahmud, who has vetured into kiddies book sales which looks distinctive an initiative, himself a child. So we want to also support him to grow too”

Mahmud Dzukogi explained in an interview, that the pilot scheme will be at the Hill-Top Creative Arts Foundation (HCAF) headquarters in Minna. “I am overwhelmed and excited about the scheme for many things: as a child, I am happy to be the face of the scheme on behalf of Timeout4Africa; it will assist my brothers and sisters to become smarter through access to books; and my business has secured an opportunity to grow. I am grateful to Allah for giving me fathers who are supportive of me. Many of my father’s friends have been patronising me, but Daddy Jonathan’s own stands out. May Allah bless him”

On the 1st Minna Kiddies Book Fair starting on 22nd December, 2025 to 10th January, 2026, Mahmud invites parents to come with their kids and buy books for them. The event will take place at the Hill-Top Creative Arts Foundation headquarters, along David Mark road, Minna. The Opening Ceremony is on 22nd December at 10m.
