Chidiebere Godwill Enyia was born in Owerri Imo State, Nigeria. He is the author of two books, Once Upon A Hard Time( novel) 2013 and Chants of A Messenger Poet (poetry) 2019. He obtained his bachelor of Arts (BA) in English and literary Studies from the Imo State University Owerri. He lived in Minna for two years during which he was a visitor to the Hill-Top Creative Arts Foundation.
He is a poet, playwright, short story writer and emerging young scholar. Chidiebere writes poetry, prose, short stories, play and essays. He is a member of Association of Nigerian Authors, (ANA), Mbari Literary society (MLS), Owerri. He is the founder and coordinator of Owerri Writers Forum (OWF). He has been published in journals, anthologies and literary magazines. His essays have appeared in Nigeria reviews, Nation newspapers and other National journals in different institutions. His poems, were published in Anthologies such as ANA Review 2018, world on The Brinks An Anthology of COVID-19 pandemic, Ebedi Review among others. His short story Tears of a Biafran Child was longlisted in the K & L prize which was published in the k & L Anthologies: Histories of yesterday A collection of the Best Stories entered for 2019 competition edited by Myles Ojabo, His Short story The Anonymity of the Gods was published in Association of Nigerian Authors – ANA Imo Ogele 2014. His essays The Beauty of Literature was published by The Nation newspaper 2013, He Co authored Indigenous African Elements in two Nigerian plays with Emma Inedu. This article was published in Fudma Journal of Gender and Development vol 1. in 2021. The Representation of Female Spiritual Being in Chinua Achebe’s Novels: A Critique was published by Nigeria review on 18th April 2022 and many others. He served in Minna Niger State during his One year National Youths service in 2015. He facilitated the programne “Support the Barrack Child with a Book, a literary/reading campaign in Minna Military Cantonment during his National youth services as his community development project. It was well received by the Barrack community. He shared books and taught the Barrack children creative writing for 6 months. The Unpublished collection of Short Stories entitled Voices from the Barrack: A reflection of the the Barrack children in Minna Military Cantonment is still in the press. During his time in minna, he wrote the following unpublished creative works. Goodbye Linna (novella) 2016. Waiting for Latifa (Short story), Dear Mummy (poetry), Mother Behold Your scented Songs. (Poetry), and The City in the Night (Novel). His essay Language, Literature and Gender Issues in Onyekachi peter Onuoha’s The Fears of Mama was published as Festschrift in Honour of prof Kolo Twanya edited by Sule Egaya and Olu Ogungbe.
He is a teacher, journalist and creative consultant.
