The Hilltop Creative Arts Foundation (HCAF) has once again proven its unmatched influence in Nigeria’s literary sphere. At this year’s Kano International Poetry Festival (KAPFEST) 11th – 13th September, our members showcased brilliance on stage and also wrote their names in the history of the festival.
A Slam to Remember
The KAPFEST slam was nothing short of wonder, and HCAF stood tall among all participants. Our members dominated the competition with back-to-back wins:
• Shafa’atu Muhammad Balarabe (HCAF, Kaduna) emerged as the Champion of the Slam, taking the coveted first place.
• Muhammad M. Ubandoma (HCAF, Minna) powered through as the First Runner-up.
• Nazeer Sulaiman (HCAF, Minna) clinched the Second Runner-up spot.
Alongside these victories, we proudly celebrate Aliyu Umar Muhammad and Al-amin Muhammad, both members whose remarkable performances earned them a place in the shortlist.
This clean sweep at the Poetry Slam is yet another proof of the beautiful talent nurtured within the HCAF family.
