The Nigeria Prize for Teen Authors is the most contested event at HIASFEST.
It is a contest of manuscripts by secondary school teen writers, in poetry and prose.
The category caries a N700, 000 cash prize, shared among three winners, in poetry and prose.
The prize is the bridge and entry point between teenage writings and the mainstream Nigerian writing space. This is what makes it hot.
Mujaheed Amin Lilo, Isaiah Adepoju, Zakiyyah Dzukogi, Sunday Saheed, Mahmoodah Oyeleye, Testimony Odey, Pacella Chukwuma-Eke, Abdurazak Salihu, Sa’ada Isah Yahaya, Sumayyah Salisu, Emmanuel Umeji, Vyangel Aroabee, Yahuza Usman, Auwal Abubakar, and many others, passed through it. They are currently on their way to the top of their literary art.
