Aisha Hussaina Idris Manarakis

Aisha Hussaina Idris Manarakis hails from Bida Local Government Area of Niger State. Born to the family of Alhaji Idris Muhammad Bida (N’One) and Hajiya Sa’adatu Yannagi. She studied Mass Communication at Fati Lami Abubakar Institute for Legal and Administrative Studies (FLAILAS), Minna, and is currently a Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai student. She is a Nupe Writer, Teacher, Translator, Newscaster, Presenter, working with Badeggi 90.1 Fm, LapaiTv and a member of Minna Literary Society (MLS).The vibrant Hussaina is the Vice President of Nupe Writers Association of Nigeria and the Chairperson Nupe Female Promoters Forum, the Coordinator of Millennium Africa Global Initiative (MAGI), Bida chapter. 

Hussaina, from her teenage days has been in promotion of Nupe language. She is the author of many books in Nupe language which include; ‘Bicicin kpako’, ‘Kangari’, ‘Ewo na Soko kin na’, ‘Yetu egi’ among others. She has featured in several anthologies of Nupe books. Her work was also published in Tulu (A Multilingual Anthology of Northern Nigerian New Writings). She has unpublished books; Children guide, Nupe poems e.t.c. 

The outspoken Hussaina Manarakis, earned numerous awards to her name; Nupe certificate of honour as a Nupe Language Novelist, an Excellence award by Indigenous Languages Learning Centre (ILLEC) and award for Exceptional representation of Nupe land by Nupe Excel International. Because of her dedication and determination, she was published in Nupe newspapers, Take My Gist online newspaper, Neptune Prime Magazine, Abuja, The Amazon Magazine Niger State.
