Amina Umar was born in Maitumbi, Minna, in 1999 to Alh. Umar Abubakar of Gulu, in Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State. She is a graduate of Sociology from Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai.
Amina is a Hill-Top Creative Art Foundation Minna member and was published by the centre in 2018. She is the author of a prose novel titled The Delinquent’s Harvest. She has attended the 2016 ANA convention in Abuja and that of the 2017 at Benue state. She is also a member of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) Niger State branch.
Amina was known for her versatility, utility and creativity during her secondary school days. She represented her school in many competitions and won prizes.
In October 2020, she was decorated as an accountability ambassador by the Lux Terra Leadership Foundation and Development Initiative of West Africa. She is also a member of several Non-Governmental Organizations, which include the Lead Generation Initiative (LGI) and Service to Humanity Foundation (SHF). Amina has also rendered several community services, including sensitisation on the Cholera outbreak in Niger South, sensitisation against Drug Abuse and the Child Right campaign.
She is also the CEO of A and Oum Farhan’s Wears. She loves reading novels, writing, skipping, and cooking.
