Khadijah Saidu Jagaba is a Gbagyi from Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State. She is the only daughter of her parents, sitting between two elder brothers and two younger brothers.
She has a soft spot for fine art, reading, and advocacy. She’s the author of “My Virgin Eyes,” a captivating collection of short stories. With a caustic and fiery voice, she advocates passionately for women and girls. She sensitises women on menstrual hygiene and period poverty in Minna, Niger State.
A Mass Communication graduate from Bayero University, Kano, she’s an active Salmah Attah Foundation for Women and Girls Support volunteer. Khadijah’s achievements include winning the prestigious Hadiza Ibrahim Aliyu Schools Festival’s Best Prose Writer award in 2019. (HIASFEST). She has published articles, reviews, Essays and short stories on different platforms and has attended many workshops, including the IWP creative writing workshop, an international writing program in Abuja. She is a fellow of the Women Radio Centre (class of 2023). She has been interviewed by a series of media houses, which include Splendor of Dawn Poetry Foundation, Abuja, Ultimate FM Minna, NTA Minna, ETC.
Khadija is currently working with the Education Strategic Investment and Development Initiative (ESIDI) in collaboration with the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) in Kano. She is also an On-Air Personnel (OAP) on BUK FM. Khadija had become a true literary force empowering change and touching hearts.
