Ibrahim Shuaibu hails from Kuta in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State. He grew up and schooled in Minna.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language Education from the University of Abuja, Nigeria.
He is Gbagyi by tribe and a history enthusiast.
He is a writer of many published and unpublished Gbagyi fiction and non-fiction, including The Kuta Chronicle, The Annals of Minna, The Trial of Maachi un Gussoro, and Tukwo Zhigi-zhigi (2021), as well as a host of other non-Gbagyi books like his first play: Perished Pride (2001).
Ibrahim led a team of researchers that produced the first Gbagyi calendar in Minna, sponsored by the Idon Minna (2009). His strengths are more in written Gbagyi than in spoken Gbagyi.
He has made some contributions to newspapers and magazines. Among the Gbagyi-related ones are: History of Minna Emirate in Minna Emirate Youth Magazine (2020); History of Minna Town “In Royalwatch Magazine (2010), and The Participation of Gbagyis in Politics in GBASA Magazine, University of Abuja Chapter, (2009).
He is now working on Gbagyi-Kni (The Gbagyi country), Gnuzhei La Byinkoi Manai Wna (2022), Fellow Countrymen, and Highflyers English.
Ibrahim Shuaibu is a Graduate Assistant at the Federal University of Kashere, Gombe State. He is a member of the Association of Nigerian Authors, Niger State Chapter and was the immediate past State Public Relations Officer.
