Ojo Olumide Emmanuel is a Minna-born Nigerian Poet, Educationist and Book Editor. He holds a B. Art [Ed] English Language from the Prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He has worked as a Radio Presenter with Ultimate F. M 103.9, Campus Radio, College of Education Minna on the Poetry/Spoken word Show “Voices of the Pen. “
He is the author of the Poetry Chapbook “Supplication For Years in Sands” (Polarsphere Books, 2021) and “How Flowers Pollinate Before the Arrival of Butterflies (Authorpaedia, 2022). He won the WeNaija Literary Contest (Non-Fiction, 2023) and was first runner-up for the Abubakar Gimba Prize for Non-fiction.
He was longlisted for the Poet in Nigeria Students Poetry Prize (2020) and among the top 5 shortlisted for the Arojah Student Playwriting Prize. He is a joint-winner of the Poets in Nigeria 10-day Poetry Challenge (2019 & 2022) and a Winner of the Poet Choice Award by the Rotaract Club of Churchgate, India.
His works have appeared and are forthcoming at Shallowtales Review, Ake Review, Feral, Quills, Poemify, Imomotimi Anthology, Writer Space Africa, Love My Religion, Bollman Bridge Review, Rigorous Magazine, Writersegg Magazine, Melbourne-Culture, TNR, and elsewhere.
He is the Editor-in-Chief of The Nigeria Review (TNR) and the lead editor of Artnews.com.ng.
He has judged Literary Prizes for the Splendor of Dawn Poetry Contest, HIASFEST and others.
He also curated the Wakaso Prize for Poetry and the Abubakar Gimba Prize for Short Fiction.
He is also a Senior Mentor at the Hill-Top Creative Arts Foundation and a Mentor of the SprinNG Writing Fellowship.
