Lawal Mu’azu was born to Mallam Abdullahi Mu’azu and Mallama Habiba Jafar in Obah-Kuta, Shiroro Local Government Area, Niger State on the 5th of April 1995.
He attended Obah Primary School Obah-Kuta between 2001 and 2006, where he obtained his primary school certificate. He attended Government Day Secondary School, Kobwa-Kuta and graduated in 2013. He started the National Teachers’ Institute, Kaduna (Kuta Study Centre) in 2014 and graduated in 2017, where he obtained his N.C.E. in English and Primary Education Studies. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A English) from Bayero University, Kano.
Lawal is a scriptwriter, an editor, a poet, a novelist, a playwright, an essayist and a social critic. His first book was published in 2020 and launched on the 13th of November, 2021. He published his play text, Son of a Bastard, in 2022. His works have appeared in Arewa Magazine, the Magazine of Niger East Youth Development Advocate, Campus Watch, internet and other reputable publication companies. He won the Arewa 30 under 30 award in the education category in 2022 for his creativity and contribution to knowledge. He was also awarded by the Department of English and Literary Studies, Bayero University, Kano, as the Most Creative Student of the year 2023.
Lawal Mu’azu is a model and an inspiration to young people. He is a very hardworking young man with a lot of promise.
