Mal. Aminu S. Muhammad was one of the early fires that lit Saddiq Dzukogi. At Primary 5, Saddiq started writing, and it was Mal. Aminu who went to retrieve two to three of his poems, plus his passport photograph and sent to Mr. Diego Okenyodo to publish in the then Young Trusters (kiddies page) of Weekend Trust Newspaper, now Daily Trust Newspaper. From that time, Saddiq has not relented. He is the first winner of ANA Teen Authors Prize for poetry in 2006 to becoming one of the three finalists of the Nigeria Prize for Literature in 2022.
Mal. Aminu is a patron of art in Minna, Niger State and Father to many teen artists. He does not only make donations to the HCAF and privately to members, he sends every opportunity he sees to them to access for grow. A regular attendant and judge at HIASFEST, Mal. Aminu is a mentor and an art curator who features our members regularly. He is the founder of Art-Muse-fair, an online literary platform for writers and artists in Africa.
Mal. Aminu through his Art-Musr-fair, had inaugurated the Abubakar Gimba Prize for Creative Non-fiction in Nigeria which is administered by the Hill-Top Creative Arts Foundation, Minna, Nigeria.
Mal. Aminu, apart from being a published author, is also an art administrator who once headed the Association of Nigerian Authors, Niger State, whose headquarters is in Minna.
