Mal. Ibrahim Aliyu is the Chairman, Urban Shelter Limited (USL), the proprietors of the Aliyu Trust Foundation (ATF). ATF is the 2nd partner in the sponsorship of Hadiza Ibrahim Aliyu Schools Festival (HIASFEST) to the tune of N10m, annually. This is not the total cost of HIASFEST. This portion of the sponsorship takes care of all the prizes and awards (cash and material) as well as their logistics, judges and administration. This big support is what has created a huge base for the festival as the biggest teen art festival in Africa. HIASFEST is in its 5th edition. Also, Urban Shelter Limited is putting in place an Art Residency for Hill-Top Creative Arts Foundation (HCAF) at her new national headquarters in Minna, Niger State. The residency will commence operations in 2024.
Malam Ibrahim Aliyu had been a supporter of the Association of Nigerian Authors, Niger State through the Annual Schools Carnival of Arts and Festival of Songs (ASCAFS), since 1995. He has contributed to the publication of countless books and attended many book launches as supports to writers in Niger State and Nigeria.
